Interior/Exterior, 10/22/2009 - 11/29/2009
Exploring the relationship between interior spaces, objects, and environment, undergraduate art student Ben Browne presents mixed media works of art that consist of paintings, drawings and sculptures. Referencing phenomenology, perception, the reciprocal relationship between object/environment, and the human presence, the artwork presented requests viewers to reacquaint themselves with everyday subject matter.

Toast print portfolio organized by Wingtip Press, Boise, Idaho, 10/23/2009 - 01/11/2010
In January of 2009, artists Amy Nack and April Hoff opened Boise's first independent printmaking studio and workshop. The goal of the studio is to provide Treasure Valley printmakers access to studio space, press rental, workshops, visiting artists and a setting that fosters a welcoming and supportive community for artists who employ printmaking method in their work.
To celebrate their opening, on January 1, 2009 they invited nineteen Boise artists to participate in a print exchange and complete an edition of prints based on the theme Toast. The goal of the exhibition is to present this portfolio and to celebrate and support the fine art of printmaking and the nineteen area artist who contributed to the portfolio.

High School Juried Art Exhibition, 12/04/2009 - 01/12/2010
The High School Juried Art Exhibition is a display of artwork that has been created by talented local high school students and selected by juror Richard Young, Chair of the Boise State University Art Department. Awards will be announced during the reception.

Sum Moment - A Collection of Wings: New Work by Benjamin Love, 01/16/2010 - 02/28/2010
Cultivating a healthy relationship with the unknown is central to the inquiry of undergraduate student artist Ben Love. Sometimes choosing materials and subject in accordance to an original idea and sometimes working intuitively, re-contextualizing found materials and ideas; the artwork presented in this solo exhibition illustrates a fusion of these two processes.

Visible M(Others): Images of Parenting in Visual Culture, 03/04/2010 - 04/05/2010
As a significant extension of the Investigating the Maternal Subject Position in Art Education Project assembled by six faculty members from five universities, this exhibition uses a core set of objects as traveling curiosities. Some of these objects include maternity fashion dolls and advertising by a maternity ware company from the 1950s. These objects are presented to provoke questions to viewing audiences on five different university campuses and their surrounding communities about how mothering has been fashioned historically and in contemporary media.

Past & Present: Featuring work of current/former students of the BSU Art Metals Program, 04/22/2010 - 05/25/2010
Is it art? Or, is it craft? This unique display of creative objects provides an opportunity for audiences to become more familiar with metalsmithing as an artform rather than simple craft. Organized by the Art Metals student club of Boise State University, this exhibition showcases the work of current and alumni art metals students.

31st Annual Idaho Watercolor Society Juried Membership Exhibition, 05/29/2010 - 06/24/2010
This exhibition was juried by nationally known artist Susan Webb Tregay and presents the best water-media paintings of artists who reside in the state of Idaho. Exemplifying skill, communicating original visions, utilizing creative concepts and imagination, the paintings displayed in this exhibition represent a full spectrum of styles, techniques and subject matter.

Regalo, 06/30/2010 - 08/12/2010
Regalo is a Spanish word meaning present, gift; pleasure, delight; dainty, delicacy; luxury, comfort. This body of work presented by alumni artist Tricia Florence, was inspired by a trip to Mexico in 2008. The mixed media works are about the gift of life, feeling grateful and finding peace in the present moment.
