About the Fine Arts Manager

Holly Gilchrist received her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with an emphasis in printmaking, painting and art history from Boise State University and a Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) with an emphasis in printmaking from Indiana State University. She is a practicing artist, a printmaker that works with relief, intaglio and serigraphy techniques and owns her own printmaking press. Her artwork is owned by many private and public collections all over the country including the City of Boise and the City of Phoenix. She has taught both lecture and studio classes as an Assistant and Adjunct Professor at three universities including Texas Wesleyan University, Northwest Nazarene University, and Boise State University.

As the Fine Arts Manager for the Student Union Bulding she is responsible for the coordination, management and marketing of the SUB Gallery, the SPEC Gallery, the Union's Permanent Art Collections, Idaho's Cultural and Intellectual Pioneers program, the Student Union Performances Series, and the Bronco Gallery: Fine Art & Framing shop. She is the Chair of the SUB's Art Advisory Board and serves on the University Art Collections Committee (UACC). She supervises a number of students and is the Project Manager for the Bay Window site-specific permanent art installations/commissions project.
